.I am Paresh, a Masters student at IIIT Hyderabad. I completed my B.Tech in July 2005. I was an honours student in Visual Information Technology. I work at CVIT (Centre for Visual Information Technologies). Dr. C. V. Jawahar is my thesis advisor. Most academic / professional details can be found in my resumé (pdf:77KB).
I was GE Foundation Scholar for the years 2005 and 2006. This scholarship is given to around 65 students every year from India and many more worldwide.
I published a paper on Homography Estimation from Planar Contours (pdf:840KB) at the Third Syposium on 3D Data, Processing, Visualization and Transmission (3DPVT-06). Another paper, on Computing Eigen Space from Limited Number of Views for Recognition (pdf:344KB) got accepted at the ICVGIP 2006.
To present my paper at 3DPVT, I went to UNC and then I went to NY to attend CVPR 2006. It has been a wonderful experience to attend these two conferences. My lab (CVIT) and National Science Foundation, USA (NSF) funded the trip.
